Getting to Nelson

Arrive: the Night before

We highly recommend booking a hotel for the night before you join us, and a hotel for the evening you fly out. 

​

Helicopters are cool, but flights can change instantly for a variety of reasons.

​

Don't worry, we've got all the possibilities pre-planned. Click on the button below to work out the option that works for you.

First Day 

GREET↠ SAFETY MEET↠ RETREAT 

Arrive: 830am

Once everyone has arrived at the staging area, we will go over a few things. 

​

The Lodge Keepers will welcome you with some snacks, and set you at ease with a Safety Talk. Here, we can answer any questions you might have. 

​

Then each individual (over 18) will read, understand, and sign the waiver. The only thing left is to hop on Heli and let the good times begin!

3, 4 & 7 Day Trips

Happy Hiking

RELISH↠ RECHARGE↠ REPEAT 

Breakfast: 730am

Each day will have a range of seasonal activities to satisfy your off grid adventure cravings. We will also offer alternative activities that will offer serene peace and relaxation. Each day starts with a fresh and deliciously prepared breakfast, served at 730am!

We are currently building our seasonal program lists. But you can anticipate guided tours to the Gold Mine, Alpine Lakes, and Ridge-top Peaks. Winter will offer Snowshoeing and other options are in the works!

Flying Out

SERENDIPITY↠ SNACKS↠ SEND OFF  

Depart: 10am

Timing of the flight will be subject to change due to weather, outside emergencies, and other variables.

If our flight gets delayed, don't worry. We either wait in the Lower Lodge, or the Upper Lodge. Both Lodge's are equip with Starlink Wifi, plenty of food, and the comfort and safety of the Lodge itself.

Okay, What's really Included?

  • ​The 15 minute Helicopter Ride in-and-out

  • The DWL Keepers

    • The Lodge Keeper is someone who cooks, cleans and does any other duty to enhance your experience. We really like the Lodge Keepers.

  • Seasonally Guided Activities

    • Professionally Certified Guides Coming Soon.

  • Kitchen & Food

    • We won't let you go hungry. All Meals, Snacks and Non Alcoholic Beverages are included. Our menu items are prepared fresh and locally sourced. Enjoy the complete culinary experience by DWL.   

    • ***For now the soft opening, food is ready meal.***

  • Bedding and Towel

    • Sauna Coming Soon!!

    • Equip with the most comfortable mattress in the backcountry, soft sheets, blankets and pillows are all provided. Here, it really feels like a vacation 24/7.

Is there anything not included?

We know, it seems like we've covered it all. However, there are a few above and beyond services that can make both the Guests and Lodge Keepers feel like they're on top of the world.

Alcohol & Bar Service

Mountain Top Margarita anyone? I think yes. Once we have our full service Bar available, (Coming Soon) your Lodge Keeper can craft you the perfect backcountry cocktail. 

Snowy Forest

Gratuity 

This is never expected by the Lodge Keepers or Guides, however, it is alway greatly appreciated.

INSUrance

Insurance is always recommended. This is the best backcountry thing to have but not need.
